I know that the title of my blog is rather ambiguous, as I did leave Cannanore, India quite a long time ago & have since lived in Melbourne, Australia for several years! However, I feel it does have a rather nice ring to it!!!! Well that day has arrived! The time to depart the Wilmot street home we have lived in for almost 25 years! It is a huge wrench
to do so and, both of us feel the departure very sadly indeed! 
But, am happy to say that the couple who are moving in and who have 2 small children, are very excited about it & most importantly love the house, the area and all it has to offer, & & & my trees! That off course means that my beautiful birds will still have a home & water in the height of summer!!
As we have a lot to finish in the area, we have rented a self contained place in Mount Waverley for 10 days. We will be staying here for 10 days. We will then stay with my sister who lives in Drouin which is country Victoria, and depart Melbourne from her place on December 19th.
I have to confess, I still find it difficult to believe that I'm actually leaving this country.
My sisters & I with respective spouse's in tow, will be spending Christmas in India this year with family & friends. To say we are looking forward to that event would be stating it mildly!! That I can assure you does not happen too often. We will spend 3 weeks there, 2 in Bangalore & about 4/5 days in Coorg where all the coffee estates are. It is a walk down memory lane for us, having spent considerable lengths of time in our youth & as adults on the estates in our younger days. A beautiful part of the country! Cannanore or Kannur as it is now known, is but a short drive away.
We hope to speak to all of you before we leave. Windsor, Canada here we come ready or not!
